July Steps Challenge!

July is here, and I'm SO excited to announce something exciting for all of us... to get involved in the July Steps Challenge!

Let’s be real... July is cold, and it’s tough to stay motivated to keep our steps up. I know it is for me...

But guess what? That’s exactly why we’re launching our Step Challenge for the month, to lift each other up and keep moving together! 👟

 

The goal?

👉 42,000 steps weekly (average 6000 / day minimum)
👉 168,000 steps by the end of the month!

But, the more the better! I wanted to keep the goal doable for anyone who’s in a rut and needs to start smaller.

If we all participate as a team, that equals 1,226,400,000 steps!!

 

Did you know that it takes around 60 days to create a new habit?

With Winter well and truly here, July is the perfect month to focus on a new healthy habit that will make you feel amazing - even in the cold.

Walking is one of the simplest, yet most powerful ways to:

  • Energise your body

  • Clear your mind

  • Boost your mood

  • Reduce your cortisol

  • Burn fat

It’s a super underrated tool to use and I want us to all experience it more this month!

Whether it’s walking with a friend, dancing in your lounge room or walking laps on a call - every step counts!

 

How to utilise the Facebook group for this challenge:

 

  1. Connect with your local Tribe members!
    There may just be someone around the corner who you can walk with. You can even create your own event to allow others nearby to join you.
    Click ‘events’ in the top tab of the group and create away! I’ll try to create one with you in the next few weeks.

  2. Post about the clever and creative ways that you’ve added steps to your day!
    This helps motivate other members with fun ideas they can try too.

How to track your steps?

Use your preferred method, but here are some suggestions:

  • Health app (iPhone) – It’s the one with the pink heart ❤️ (just make sure your phone’s always with you 😅)

  • Strava or MapMyWalk

  • Smart watches – like an Apple Watch!

How to record your steps with the Tribe?

Every Friday, we’ll send you an email with a form to log your steps.

The tracking form is also linked here 

(Save it as a bookmark for easy access, incase you miss the email. I'll also remind you on a Friday in the Facebook group)
